Compression Release System
1. Press the button and the compression release valve is open.
2. Engage the starter. With the compression release open, as the
piston rises on its compression stroke just enough of the cylinder’s.
pressure is allowed to escape through the vent hole in the body of
the valve. Less cylinder pressure means it's easier for the starter to
push the piston past the top of its compression stroke.
3. As soon as the cylinder’s charge is ignited by the spark plug, the
resulting explosion immediately forces the compression release to
close. The valve’s design ensures a complete seal.
4. Customizable compression releases are standard equipment on all
Pro-Series engines.
